We must change the tide of gun violence in America

SHOT: We The People (SWTP) calls for your personal expressions, concerns and accounts relating to the epidemic of gun violence in America
We encourage your activism through your crowdsourced content.

SWTP searches for common ground initiatives and solutions as we create communities of people who offer their views and share
their personal stories through our network.

The SWTP site enables you to interact with powerful imagery and statements by those who have experienced as well as those who fear
the threat of gun violence in their daily lives. First hand narratives that bear witness to shootings must be preserved, studied and made
available before they are lost in the digital ether.

Sharing the experiences of those directly affected conveys their tragedies in ways that conventional media simply cannot do.

SWTP is currently in the process of gathering content from grammar, junior-high and high-schools across the country.
Parents, Educators AND Children can articulate the depth of children’s anxieties that are evident in their personal expressions of distress-
now part of the “new normal.” We are reaching out to public, private, charter, vocational and military schools nationwide
to share your voice for SHOT: We The Kids.

SHOT: We the Mothers MIAMI is a photography documentary featuring 44 mothers who have lost children to gun violence in the Miami-Dade area. The women have been photographed at locations of their choice which hold a special meaning to their child.  Photographs of mementos from the children are also included in the project. The text associated with the project are from the mother’s social media posts, unfiltered in their descriptions of what they are facing.
